Comic Vision
Pengrowth is proud to be a sponsor of "Comic Vision", one of the primary fundraising initiatives devoted to the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Unique in its combination of headlining comedians and both a live and silent auction, "Comic Vision" has grown into a much-anticipated annual tour that stops in five cities across Canada. In Calgary, this year's event is being held on May 3 at Gasoline Alley.
Money raised will support the FFB’s innovative projects to save and restore sight in partnership with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. These ambitious projects aim to restore sight to people living with vision loss due to retinitis pigmentosa and macular degeneration, the leading causes of blindness among children and people aged 50 plus, respectively. Success in these studies could mean future clinical trials for patients in Canada.
